Making money out of blogging comes in many different ways. There’s the paid posting, contextual advertising, selling ad space, affiliate marketing and many more. One of those make money online opportunities which we can make is through Google Adsense Program (contextual advertising).
"AdSense is an advertisement serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and more recently, video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google is also currently beta-testing a cost-per-action based service." - According to Wikipedia
Please consider the things below in order for you to make money online with Adsense.
Proper Ads Placements
Work more with your blog layout / template. On my blog’s case (blogspot blog), Adsense Widgets were already present. All you have to do is to choose the Ads size you want to display on your blog. But there’s another way for you to place Adsense ads on your blog. You could directly copy the Adsense code which you have set-up from your Adsense Account (this thing works well for tracking your Adsense performance and earnings) but this thing needs more skills in editing blog’s code or blog layout through its template area.
- Place your Adsense Ads above the fold – Use the ad size 336 x 250 and put it above your title post. This thing will be effective, readers or visitors who visit your blog will see it first and will possibly click you ads.
- Place your Adsense Ads on your blog posts – Placing the Adsense ads within the post was also advisable, you could place it before your blog post starts /ends. You can use the 468 x 60 ad size format or the link ad units as what I’ve been using on this blog (check the ads I’ve placed before this blog post starts). You could also place the 336 x 250 or 300 x 250 ad size format after your blog post as what I’m doing on this blog. The wide skyscraper (200 x 160) will be perfect for sidebar.
- Blend you Adsense Ads with your Blog Template – Don’t make your ads shout that they were Adsense Ads! Be sure to blend the ad colors with your blog template. (Hint: make the post title color of your blog title as the link title color of your Adsense ads). Consider yourself as the visitor of your own blog and see it for yourself. Does the ads tempting you to give it a click? If you’ve got the answer that you’re looking for, you’re doing great. ;)
Blog Traffic
It is one if the things you should work for in order to make some good money online out of Adsense. Traffic also comes in different ways, it will maybe traffic coming from search engines (seo makes money), other blogs, and other traffic generating program online – Entrecard as an example.
